Requirements: A minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent qualification. Ability to read-write and be prepared to work shifts including weekends, nights, and public holidays. Must have good interpersonal skills and effective team working relationships. A minimum of two (02) years of exposure to public service health especially in the laundry environment will serve as an added advantage.

Duties: Hygienic and physically safe handling of clean and soiled linen. Count and sort linen daily according to the set guidelines. Assist in recording linen collected and delivered to and from the wards. Ensure functionality of machinery and record defects to the Supervisor or Manager. Ensure the availability of clean linen for patients in the wards. Ensure that linen delivered to service points is packed on the shelves. Assist with the washing of certain linen items in-house. Assist with the condemning of damaged linen and participate in quarterly stock-taking. Ensure that infection control guidelines are implemented.
