Requirements :

Grade 12 with a minimum of 3 years experience in a hospital or other large-scale food service environment. Must have relevant meal preparation skills and knowledge of different cooking methods. Knowledge and understanding of production processes and Human Nutrition Services rendered. Knowledge of therapeutic diets will be an added advantage. Good verbal, writing, and computer skills. Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Be willing to rotate inside the unit in various areas. Have basic numeric skills. Must have problem-solving skills and be able to work under pressure. Perform additional work-related tasks as given by the supervisor.

Duties: Supervised staff. Responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and control of stock. Be able to read menus, and recipes and supervise the production, portioning, and distribution of meals. Supervised food service activities (operation of equipment, hygiene, safety, the flow of work, etc.). Responsible for the safekeeping of the equipment and stock and ensuring that faulty equipment is reported immediately. Handling of keys “ensures that all storage areas are efficiently cleaned and locked at all times along with accompanying responsibilities. Responsible for PMDS of staff.

Failure to submit any of the requested documents will result in the application not being considered.
