Catering Assistant

Our commercial kitchen is
seeking a Catering Assistant to work as part of the culinary team. In this
position, you will be responsible for washing, preparing, peeling, and chopping
raw ingredients, making sauces and dressings, and operating kitchen equipment.
You will unload and load supply deliveries, take a stock inventory, and
organise supplies and consumables. The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 and
preferable Catering or Hospitality qualification, proven experience within the
catering industry, work under pressure, and have excellent knowledge of health
and safety regulations.

Ensuring chefs are
appropriately equipped

Loading and
unloading washing equipment

Skills and Requirements

·
A catering /
hospitality diploma or equivalent experience

·
Sound knowledge of
food health and safety

·
Organised and able
to work in a fast-paced environment

·
Able to work as
part of a team

·
First-class
communication skills

·
Knowledge of
commercial kitchen equipment

·
Excellent Customer
Service

Starting Salary –
R3 000.00
